Founded in 2009, Flipside Burgers & Bar was created by owner Michael Baffa as a hidden gem tucked into Fairfield's Brick Walk. Though quietly nestled in the back, it quickly became a destination known for its vibrant energy, expansive bar, and welcoming patio — where great food, craft drinks, and a lively atmosphere come together.

A back-corner start

In 2020, Flipside expanded to Downtown Milford, bringing that same signature experience to a stunning waterfront setting. The Milford location features a spacious patio overlooking the water, offering the perfect backdrop for great food, handcrafted drinks, and memorable gatherings, quickly becoming a favorite for both locals and visitors alike.

The food philosophy

Custom-ground beef, never frozen, never cut short. From the cult-favorite Hangover Burger to the Mac & Cheese Burger loaded with bacon and cheese sauce — real ingredients, zero shortcuts.

Stephanie's bar

Stephanie McCool built the cocktail program to compete with the kitchen — monster drinks in oversized branded glasses, espresso martinis, spicy fresh-squeezed margaritas. Not an afterthought.

Milford opens

In 2020, Flipside expanded to downtown Milford — same uncompromising food, new waterside setting on Schooner Lane. The coastal patio brought a whole new crowd into the fold.
